Bobcat Stadium

Bobcat Stadium is home to the Frostburg State football, men's & women's soccer, field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse and the men's and women's track and field programs.

Opened in 1974, Bobcat Stadium has seen a pair of renovations in recent year's. In September of 2005, the stadium saw the addition of 95 stadium lights and in the summer of 2006, Sprinturf was added as the playing surface.

The 4,000-seat venue also features an eight-lane, 400-meter all-weather track.

The FSU football team owns a 91-70 (.574) overall record at Bobcat Stadium and hosted the 1993 NCAA Division III national quarterfinal game as well as three ECAC Southwest Championship contests (1994, 1999 and 2005).

The men’s and women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse teams began competing in the stadium in 2006-07 after the addition of the turf surface, while the Bobcat field hockey team began competing in the stadium in the fall of 2007. The four teams have combined for a 70-24-3 overall record while the women’s soccer squad hosted the 2008 ECAC South Tournament Championship. In 2011, the Frostburg State men's lacrosse program will begin competition at Bobcat Stadium as well.

Bobcat Stadium also serves as an outstanding training and competition center for the men’s and women’s track and field teams. Thanks to a great facility, Frostburg State’s results on the national level are staggering as FSU has captured two men’s NCAA Division III National Championships (1986 and 1987), one women’s national runner-up finish (1982), one men’s third-place showing (2001) and numerous top-15 placings. This past spring, FSU hosted the Mason-Dixon Conference Outdoor Championships, a two-day 10-team meet hosting hundreds of student-athletes.

Bobcat Stadium also stands as the host facility for local high school events including boys and girls soccer and football for nearby Mountain Ridge High School.
